This month, the Trailblazers Group welcomed speakers from Devon Freewheelers, the local Blood Bikes charity, for an engaging and informative session.
The speakers shared insights into how the group was started and their vital work, transporting blood and medical supplies for the NHS. They even brought along one of their impressive Blood Bikes, which proved to be a real highlight! Some of our group members had the exciting opportunity to sit on the bike, adding to the experience.
There was plenty of interest in the emergency vehicle service, with lots of questions from our members keen to learn more. After the talk and some hands-on fun with the motorbike, the Trailblazers enjoyed a well-earned break with tea, coffee, and cake, followed by a lively game of bingo.
As a thank you for their visit and the amazing work they do, proceeds from this month’s meeting were donated to Devon Freewheelers.
