Having worked commercially in the IT  and customer service industries, she was thrilled to be offered this role  in voluntary community work – something she had wanted to do for a long time – a real career change  for the best.  She has been overwhelmed by the generosity and kind spirit of members of the community and with this support, is confident that Kerswella will continue to thrive.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Sally Collier” role=”Assistant Coordinator”]Sally has been an active volunteer of Kerswella since the beginning and was delighted when an opportunity arose to work alongside Gill as Assistanct Co-ordinator in January 2021. Having recently taken voluntary redundancy after working in the banking industry for 33 years the timing was perfect for a new challenge. She is enjoying her new role working in the community, alongside the many wonderful volunteers who give their time so generously, and making a difference to people’s lives.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_spacer height=”25″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”2″ css=”.vc_custom_1632238674645{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Rick Williams” role=”Trustee- Secretary”]Rick retired in March 2020 after 27 years as Chief Executive of Cornerstone housing association in Exeter and is currently the non-exec Chair of TorVista Homes, Torbay Council’s own housing company.  He moved to Kingskerswell in 2016 and became involved with Kerswella Care as his wife, Karen, is a volunteer and he helped out during the pandemic. He brings a wealth of experience in the governance and regulation of not-for-profit organisations and understands the strategic role and responsibilities of trustees.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Kingsley Matthews” role=”Chair of Trustees”]Kingsley joined as a volunteer in 2018 having retired as a school business manager in 2017. He was born & raised in the village and so knows many of the people he helps with transport and Kerswella’s events and activities. Alongside his secretary role, he is involved with fundraising and grant applications to support Kerswella’s work – and makes sure that everything is properly accounted for during the year and at the year end! He represents Kerswella in his role as trustee on KingsCare’s board who provide oversight of Kerswella’s affairs.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_spacer height=”25″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”2″ css=”.vc_custom_1632238674645{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Alyson Blake ” role=”Trustee”]Alyson came to the village in 2014 and on retirement as an Occupational Therapist from the NHS was looking for a way to get involved in the village and meet other local residents. She started as a volunteer in 2021 and agreed to become a Trustee in 2022. As a volunteer she drives, helps with coffee mornings and lunches and the Pavillion café and in 2023 has been involved with the Coronation Raffle.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Phil Shute” role=”Trustee”]Phil Shute, a retired GP and resident of Coffinswell since 1985; born and raised in Devonport. Previously trustee and committee member of Kingskerswell Summermoon Festival. Phil was co-opted as a trustee of Kerswella Care for medical input and he is proud of what’s been put together. We are making a difference.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_spacer height=”25″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Jill Wright” role=”Trustee – Treasurer”]Jill has a background that has been in administration and finance and became a Volunteer for Kerswella Care since its inception. She is actively involved in various Voluntary organisations within Kingskerswell since retirement 10 years ago and cares passionately about the local community as her family have lived in the village for over 100 years.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][dt_sc_team name=”Maggie Bonnell” role=”Trustee”]Maggie has managed KingsCare in Kingsteignton since 2003 and KingsCare were instrumental in the birth and continuation of the Kerswella Care Project.  Maggie believed there was a need in our community for patient support services and sought funding for the Kerswella pilot project in 2017.   Six years on, Kerswella still work  closely with KingsCare and were thrilled that Maggie has come on board as a trustee.  Her knowledge of the voluntary patient support sector  and its funding is second to none.[/dt_sc_team][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_spacer height=”25″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

And, of course our wider team of trusty committee members and volunteers – we could do nothing without these people whose hearts are in our community.
