Trailblazers is a friendly monthly get-together for the elder generation and retired people from Ipplepen and the nearby villages of Kingskerswell, Denbury, Abbotskerswell, Ogwell and Broadhempston.

It’s a chance to come together for an afternoon of company, conversation and laughter. Most months we welcome guest speakers – so far this year we’ve enjoyed visits from the Devon Air Ambulance, the Fire Brigade, Blood Bikes, and experts on online safety. We often add in a light-hearted quiz or bingo, and there’s always a warm cup of tea or coffee with a slice of cake to share.

We usually meet at Ipplepen Village Hall from 1:30pm, but sometimes we venture out on trips – previously we have visited Buckfast Abbey for a stroll around the grounds and lunch together.

There’s no need to come every month, just join us when you can. New faces are always welcome, and we’re open to suggestions for future talks and outings.
